Cisco removed Slovenia from the list of "forbidden" countries.

On the April 15 of 2020, Cisco began enabling certification exams outside of VUE test centers. Taking exams has also become possible via a computer from the office or from home.

Unfortunately, three countries were exempted from this regime: China, Japan and Slovenia.

As this exception put Slovenian IT engineers in an unenviable position, NIL team immediately established communication with Cisco.

Through the communication among Cisco, the VUE testing provider, the Office of the Information Commissioner of Slovenia, and NIL, the problem was resolved in less than two months.

Cisco will soon remove Slovenia from the list of "forbidden" countries for online exams, so that local IT engineers will be able to obtain certifications in the same way as their counterparts in the rest of the world.
