New Version of Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers BGP Training Available

First published on: 27 July 2015

The Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers (BGP) course provides critical hands-on skills to design, implement, and troubleshoot BGP networks for optimal performance within service provider environments. More than half of the updated course consists of an extensive set of hands-on labs that run on the Cisco IOS 15.2.

Service Providers (and enterprises acting as service provider(s)) are faced with many challenges, including protecting their existing infrastructure while generating new services. The Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers (BGP) course helps meet these challenges by providing the latest technological enhancements and hands-on skills to design, implement, and troubleshoot BGP networks for optimal performance within service provider environments. The BGP v4.0 replaces the v3.2 of the course.

About the Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers (BGP) Course

Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers (BGP) is a 5-day instructor-led course that provides you with in-depth knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), the routing protocol that is one of the foundations of the internet and technologies, such as Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). This curriculum covers the theory of BGP, configuration of BGP on Cisco IOS routers, detailed troubleshooting information, and hands-on exercises that provide learners with the skills that they must configure and troubleshoot BGP networks in customer environments. Different service solutions in the curriculum cover BGP network design issues and usage rules for various BGP features, preparing learners to design and implement efficient, optimal, and trouble-free BGP networks.

In comparison with the previous version of the course (3.2), the content has been adapted to Cisco IOS Software Release 15.2 and technically updated. The course also introduces new types of labs, called discovery labs and challenge labs, enabling you to learn by doing. The updated course has also been significantly enhanced with hands-on exercises that now cover more than 50% of the course. NIL significantly contributed to the shape of the new BGP course.

The BGP v3.2 course content will be available until January 31, 2016, however, we strongly recommend going for the latest version to maximize training output and gain up-to-date knowledge to support and use BGP on Cisco Routers for optimal service provider infrastructure performance and protection.
