Furthermore, you will excel in network intrusion analysis, applying troubleshooting techniques, assessing event and alert impact, monitoring traffic, and interpreting regular expressions.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites, but it is important to understand the exam topics beforehand and create a strategy to master them. Topics include security concepts, security monitoring, host-based analysis, network intrusion analysis, and security policies and procedures.

Recertification

Your certification is valid for three years. You can renew with Continuing Education credits or retake exams before they expire.

  • Pass any one associate-level exam
  • Pass any one professional-level concentration exam
  • Pass one technology core exam
  • Pass any one expert-level written exam
  • Pass any one expert-level lab or practical exam

Combining exams with Continuing Education (CE) credits:

  • Earn 30 CE credits
