DevNet Professional Certification: Master Application Development, NetDevOps, and Advanced Cisco Platform Skills

With the DevNet Professional certification, you will gain an advanced blend of skills—from application development on Cisco platforms to software and infrastructure know-how—that are ideal for NetDevOps roles.

Show your ability to gauge whether applications are resilient, scalable, and maintainable, and use logs to diagnose issues.

Demonstrate that you can optimize application programming interface (API) usage and employ REST APIs for functions such as error handling and pagination.

Be able to build automation workflows and use technical specifications to develop configuration management solutions.

Demonstrate your expertise in privacy, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates, Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OSWAP) threats, and end-to-end encryption principles.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for DevNet Professional certification, but you should have a good understanding of the exam topics before taking the exam.

Ideally, DevNet Professional candidates also have three to five years of experience with software development, including Python programming.

Core Exam (required):
350-901 DEVCOR

Concentration Exams (choose one):
300-435 ENAUTO
300-535 SPAUTO
300-635 DCAUTO
300-735 SAUTO
300-835 CLAUTO
300-910 DEVOPS

Recertification

Your certification is valid for three years. You can renew with Continuing Education credits or retake exams before they expire.

Exam only (choose one option):

  • Pass one technology core exam
  • Pass any two separate professional concentration exams
  • Pass any one expert-level written exam
  • Pass any one expert-level lab or practical exam

Combining exams with Continuing Education (CE) credits (choose one option):

  • Earn 80 CE credits
  • Earn 40 CE credits AND pass any one professional-level concentration exam
