Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for CCNP Service Provider, but you should have a good understanding of the exam topics before taking the exam.

CCNP candidates often also have three to five years of experience implementing service provider solutions.

Required Exams

Core Exam (required):
350-501 SPCOR

Concentration Exams (choose one):
300-510 SPRI
300-515 SPVI
300-535 SPAUTO
300-540 SPCNI

Recertification

Your certification is valid for three years. You can renew with Continuing Education credits or retake exams before they expire.

Exam only (choose one option):

  • Pass one technology core exam
  • Pass any two separate professional concentration exams
  • Pass any one expert-level written exam
  • Pass any one expert-level lab or practical exam

Combining exams with Continuing Education (CE) credits (choose one option):

  • Earn 80 CE credits
  • Earn 40 CE credits AND pass any one professional-level concentration exam
