Cisco updates CCNP Wireless certification training and exam program
The 4 new Cisco CCNP Wireless certification training and exams validates Cisco wireless LAN expertise in various aspects of designing, deploying, securing, and troubleshooting Cisco Wireless networks. The existing exams and training will be retired on September 21, 2016.
Cisco wireless technology growth places increased demands on networks and the professionals that support them. Ensuring that this technology is optimally configured, deployed, and supported is paramount to achieving business outcomes and requires a workforce of skilled wireless professionals. The updated Cisco CCNP Wireless certification validates Cisco wireless LAN configuration, deployment, security, and troubleshooting skills for optimal performance of Cisco Wireless networks.
New CCNP Wireless certification track overview
The new Cisco CCNP Wireless certification provides the skills needed to enable secure and reliable wireless infrastructures for a highly interconnected world of real-time information and choice. It consists of training and certification exams that address the needs of Cisco wireless network professionals and those who are planning to build, assess, and continually reinforce Cisco wireless technology expertise throughout the spectrum of their career.
The CCNP Wireless certification training and exams have been restructured and the content has been redistributed across all certification courses. As a result, there are 4 new training and certification exams available:
- Designing Cisco Wireless Enterprise Networks (WIDESIGN) v1.0 is a 5-day instructor-led training that offers a new perspective on designing wireless networks. Students will learn how to design a wireless network from the beginning to end, from customer-first contact to post-deployment reports. The course also teaches how to conduct walk-throughs, identify difficult areas, and optimize the survey process to provide a better AP-to-coverage ratio. The course is designed to help students prepare for the CCNP Wireless certification 300-360 WIDESIGN exam. Read more about the course outline and objectives.
- Deploying Cisco Wireless Enterprise Networks (WIDEPLOY) v1.0 is a 5-day instructor-led training that teaches how to deploy wireless networks using Cisco controller and unified switching architectures policies and best practices, as well as ensure the proper implementation of mobility standards and proper configuration of all aspects of wireless components. The course is designed to help students prepare for the CCNP Wireless certification 300-365 WIDEPLOY exam. Read more about the course outline and objectives.
- Troubleshooting Cisco Wireless Enterprise Networks (WITSHOOT) v1.0 is a 3-day instructor-led training that provides knowledge of troubleshooting and optimizing Enterprise wireless infrastructure and related services. Students will also learn to use the tools and methodologies needed to identify and resolve client connectivity, performance and RF issues. The course is designed to help students prepare for the CCNP Wireless certification 300-370 WITSHOOT exam. Read more about the course outline and objectives.
- The Securing Cisco Wireless Enterprise Networks (WISECURE) v1.0 is a 5-day instructor-led training that introduces learners to the information on how to secure Cisco wireless networks. The course provides guidelines for implementing Wi-Fi security architectures through proper configuration of Cisco wireless components. The course is designed to help students prepare for the CCNP Wireless certification 300-375 WISECURE exam. Read more about the course outline and objectives.
The new CCNP Wireless courses reinforce the instruction by providing students with hands-on labs to ensure students thoroughly understand how to configure and deploy the new Cisco AireOS v8.0, Cisco IOS XE v3.6, Cisco Prime Infrastructure v2.2, and Cisco ISE v1.3.
