The On-Premise Installation Workshop for Cisco AppDynamics (IMP860) training shows you how to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot the installation of Cisco AppDynamics on-premise components. Presented in workshop format, you will perform an installation from initial conceptualization through implementation, troubleshooting, upgrading, and handover. This training is focused only on installation and upgrading and does not cover configuration of the product.

Prerequisite Knowledge

The knowledge and skills you are expected to have before attending this training are:
  • Unix command line experience (system navigation, file and directory permissions, copying, moving, deleting files, locating services and processes, scripting, and shells)
  • Experience using vi or nano editors to search, view, and modify files
  • Experience working with Extensible Markup Language (XML) syntax
  • Windows experience (navigation, file manipulation, batch files, locating services, and processes)
  • General knowledge of the usage of Representational State Transfer Application Program Interface (REST API)
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Java, .NET, PHP, Node.js, Python
  • System administration experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and solving software-related issues
