The Cisco UCS Fast Path is a 2 day intensive installation technical training course targeted at engineers who are currently experienced in deploying non-Cisco standalone Intel architecture rack or blade servers. 

The goal of this course is to provide engineers with hands-on experience based on labs and an in-depth understanding of Cisco servers based on Intel architecture, so that they will be in a position to successfully install Cisco UCS.

Objectives

After finishing this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the Cisco C series standalone servers physical architecture
  • Provision and configure LAN and SAN Connectivity in the CIMC on C series standalone servers
  • Describe the CIMC, host upgrade utility and configuration utility on the C series standalone servers
  • Describe the Cisco B series blade servers physical architecture
  • Provision and configure LAN and SAN Connectivity on the B series servers
  • Provision resource pools, service profiles and service profile templates in Cisco UCS Manager
  • Describe how the Cisco UCS C series integration is done

The Cisco UCS Fast Path Course is applicable to experienced engineers within Cisco Partners and Customers, who are currently working with non-Cisco servers and seek the ability to deploy Cisco UCS.

 

Prerequsite Knowledge

The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows:

  • Basic Computer Literacy 
  • Knowledge of basic i386 architecture
  • Knowledge of basic LAN components and functions
  • Knowledge of basic SAN components and functions
