The Cisco Prime Service Catalog Developer Training (PSCD) v1.0 is a 2-day instructor-led, lab-based course that introduces learners to the advanced service design and development in the Cisco Prime Service Catalog.
The Cisco Prime Service Catalog is a self-service portal that one can use to order and manage any type of IT service, from the data center to the desktop. With the service catalog software, IT can standardize and consolidate a wide array of services and give end users a self-service shopping experience. The catalog also standardizes, unifies, and automates delivery processes for data center and workplace services.

The course is available only as a private group training (up to 12 people).


Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:
  • Describe Cisco Prime Service Catalog architecture and features
  • Describe integration possibilities and API features
  • Program with Cisco Prime Service Catalog using New Scale Application Programming Interface (nsAPI), remote application programming interface (RAPI), Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP), and Service Link
  • Understand agents, adapters, and web service integrations
  • Design JavaScript portlets
  • Use interactive service forms and advanced scripting for service forms
  • Perform administration and troubleshooting tasks

Prerequisite Knowledge

The knowledge and skills that a learner should possess before attending this course are as follows:
  • General IT service management concepts and business processes
  • Integrations and workflows
  • Working knowledge of web services, XML, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), RESTful APIs, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge that can be gained by attending the Cisco Prime Service Catalog Foundation Training (PSCF) course
