The Cisco IOS XR Multicast Routing Implementation and Verification (IOSXR302) v1.0 is a 2-day instructor-led course that introduces learners to the implementation of the multicast routing and multicast VPNs on Cisco IOS XR Software-based platforms.
The course is part of a portfolio of courses that are designed to enable service providers to support and maintain their Cisco IOS XR platforms. These platforms include the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Routers, Carrier Routing System 1 (CRS-1), CRS-3, CRS-X, and Network Convergence System (NCS) 1000, 4000, 5000, and 5500 Series, and the Cisco NCS 6000 Series Routers.

When delivered online, as a virtual-instructor-led training (VILT), the course duration is extended to 3 days.

Prerequisite Knowledge

The knowledge and skills that a learner should possess before attending this course are as follows:
  • Knowledge that can be gained by attending the Introduction to Cisco IOS XR (IOSXR100) course, or equivalent hands-on experience configuring and supporting Cisco IOS XR–based routers
  • Knowledge that can be gained by attending the Cisco IOS XR System Administration (IOSXR200) course, or equivalent hands-on experience configuring and supporting Cisco IOS XR–based routers
  • Configure Cisco IOS XR Software-based platforms
  • Configure and troubleshoot Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) (IS-IS and OSPF) routing
  • Configure and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing
  • Configure and verify basic Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) functionality
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of IPv4 Multicast concepts
