The training for successful Wi-Fi management

The CWNA training is vendor-independent, practical, and covers broader wireless concepts, while it also provides the wireless administration skills that we can directly use on our equipment in our production environment.

Thanks to the instructor Maja Podbevšek, we covered all of the topics in detail and she managed to answer all of our questions so that everyone had a very good understanding of the presented subject. In addition, she often referred to real-life cases from her projects, and I am sure that this will be very useful when we encounter similar scenarios in our company.

All in all, it was a very beneficial training for everyone in our engineering team and we got exactly what we expected.

Great online CCNA training

Great online CCNA training

I attended the ICND1 and ICND2 training to increase my general knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies. Both CCNA-level courses fit that purpose and I am very pleased with the outcomes.

Instructors Lantzy and Trevor delivered the courses from NIL's South African office. However, those of us attending them remotely in Slovenia had no problems following. Their way of teaching is very fun, interesting, and I personally liked the real-life experience anecdotes that made everybody much more engaged in the class. What’s more, they both gave us a lot of job-relevant advice and provided additional information that is not included in the literature.

All in all, great off-site courses and lab exercises in spite of the fact that the local branch office and NIL's headquarters are half a world apart. Everything was well organized and NIL's staff also displayed great hospitality.

I would strongly recommend this training

The Cisco ICND1 course has really made a major difference in catching up on and increasing my knowledge of the Cisco routing and switching principles. I would strongly recommend this training to students who wish to gain better understanding of the Cisco networking technologies.

Although the lab tasks can be challenging at some points, students really benefit from finishing them. All in all, I think the labs were simply magnificent. Additionally, the course was interesting from the organizational perspective, as fellow Slovenian classmates participated in the class remotely via TLT but still managed to be very involved. This made the course even more enjoyable.

Very useful SDN workshop!

Very useful SDN workshop!

Our team attended the workshop to gain detailed insight into SDN technologies and to help us separate the wheat from the chaff.

I must say we were very satisfied with the workshop content and the delivery by the instructor Boštjan Šuštar. He covered all the topics well and showed that he has deep understanding of the technologies. The SDN architecture and the use cases were especially beneficial for us.

Overall, the workshop provided what we were looking for, and for everyone who wants to get familiar with real-life SDN examples and design scenarios, I highly recommend this training.

The place to go if you are preparing for CCIE R&S

Thank you very much for enabling me to finish one of the most difficult challenges in my career in the best possible way. With your accessibility, professionalism and kindness you encouraged me to work hard and helped me to achieve a highly respected certification in the field. Because of your functional approach to teaching and concise problem solving I was very well prepared and didn’t have any problems passing the CCIE R&S exam. I hope that we will work together in the future again. My recommendations for NIL Learning will go to the younger generations of CCIE experts as the right place to study on their way to achieving this career goal.

Even more effective than being in the classroom!

Even more effective than being in the classroom!

The instructor, Maja Podbevšek, was very knowledgeable and able to explain all the topics required for the course. She was happy to answer any questions or review any topics if needed, making everything understandable and easy to remember. Labs were very detailed and allowed me to practice in a non-production environment where I could really test my knowledge and learn from mistakes without the risk of affecting the business processes. Because I didn’t have to provide the initial setup of the labs by myself, this approach also saved a lot of time.

I didn’t have any problems with participating in the class remotely. The TLT system was excellent, very reliable and the picture quality was perfect. I could hear everything that Maja was talking about clearly. The initial setup was straightforward and easy to understand. This may have been even more effective than being in a classroom, as being able to sit in the comfort of my own home without distraction makes it really easy to focus on the lesson.

Training: Instructor-Led Training - Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices v2.0, Part 2 (ICND2)
Period: February 9–13, 2015

NIL Learning held Cisco ICND2 training for a group of Slovenian engineers and a student from the UK, Joshua Sanders, who participated in the class remotely, via our Technology-Led Training (TLT) solution.

Clear TLT advantages: focus, accuracy & efficiency

I admit that I had concerns about a class led by an instructor located on the other side of the world. I felt that learning at such a distance wouldn’t fit with my social and communicative character, and I doubted that I could follow the class.

How wrong I was! I found out quickly that NIL’s Technology-Led Training (TLT) has one very clear advantage, especially for this particular class: the training mostly consists of studying on your own under mentor supervision. TLT has this interesting duality: on one hand, you’re in NIL’s calm and comfortable classroom, which enables you to focus on solving the difficult problems that are part of CIERS-1 training; on the other hand, you’re also part of a dynamic, knowledge-thirsty group that wants the maximum from the instructor – we ask for additional explanations, share our experiences and ideas.

Technology does its job here. I must think carefully before asking a question, and I have to ask succinctly. The instructor explains things systematically. There’s little space for simplifications and waving hands. Meanwhile, students don’t interrupt each other. We listen closely and express clearly. Our words have greater value, and we absorb information with deeper focus. The lack of physical contact spontaneously brings out of us what is many times forgotten or ignored in typical classroom training: focus, concentration, accuracy and efficiency.

NIL convinced me that TLT is a mature training platform. It demands a highly competent instructor with very good communications skills – and NIL has a whole team of them.

I will definitely use NIL's Remote Labs again!

I would like to thank NIL Learning for creating such a valuable resource. I used their Remote Labs to prepare for CCNA Security & CCNP Security exams. On 20th April I successfully completed my CCNP Security exams, making me a certified CCNP R&S and CCNP Security Professional. Now I'm pursuing the path of CCNA Voice & CCNP Voice certifications and will definitely use NIL Remote Labs again.

NIL is a highly competent training vendor

NIL is a highly competent training vendor

As part of the Deutsche Telekom group of companies, T-Systems is in a unique position to combine information technology and telecommunications into replicable, cost-effectivesolutions. We have been fortunate to share in NIL’s expertise since the day they opened their doors. Eight of our staff members are currently enrolled in CCIE 360 program. One candidate achieved his CCIE status after just six months in the program, and another two are taking their lab exams in September. The other candidates have completed CIERS 1 and will complete CIERS 2 by the end of November.

During the time we have worked with NIL as a training vendor, we’ve found them to be highly competent and very involved. They’ve supplied reports when requested, sharing information as needed. The structure of the program makes it unique, yet it’s tailor-made for every candidate. We’ve found the program, learning material and tutors to be excellent.

T-Systems is looking forward to a long win-win partnership with NIL.

Cisco training - a career booster for engineers

I want to thank the NIL team for the training and warmth I received during classes. I came to the NIL office to get some Cisco training, but just a few months later I also received something awesome from NIL– a free ICND training course!

The whole NIL team was very helpful, and all resources were made available to the classes. My lecturer were very effective; I understood everything, and I felt like I actually received the service I paid for. I even asked for extra support before my exam, and it was given to me.

I am now working at DataTegra in Roodepoort, in internal support. When I mentioned that I’d passed my CCENT exam, my supervisor said the company would like to promote me to Technical Assistant as soon as I also pass the ICND2 exam. The training I received at NIL was a real push forward in my career, and I really appreciate it. I will definitely be taking the ICND2 exam very soon!
