Cisco HyperFlexMINT overview
Cisco HyperFlex Mentored Install Network Training (MINT) program is an authorized hands-on training program that helps you gain skills and master best practices while deploying the Cisco HyperFlex solution. By combining mentoring and installation, the program accelerates the adoption and deployment of the new Cisco HyperFlex solution in your environment and helps you achieve your desired outcomes.

Objectives of engagement
- Discover the customer outcome desires through investigation of the current situation and steps needed to achieve the goal.

Scope of Work
SoW is predefined to an extent, but will be solidified and agreed upon after the initial situation and outcome discovery.
Roles and responsibilities
NIL will do the majority of the work, however, in order to ensure high customer satisfaction and achieve the desired goals, a customer is expected to provide the following:
- Stakeholder discovery workshop participation
- Preparation of the environment for the beginning of configuration, which includes, but may not be limited to:
- Rack space
- Power capacity
- Cooling capacity
- Equipment stacking
- Infrastructure pre-configuration
- Customer engineers that will participate in all steps of the project for:
- Knowledge transfer
- Testing support
- Support for integration with the existing environment
- Plan of test scenarios to determine operational acceptance of the solution situation and outcome discovery.
Kickoff – Webex
Review of BoM, design, topology, and the desired solution.
Present HyperFlex VMware or Hyper-V architecture and components.
Consulting on the feasibility of the desired solution.
Requirements and prerequisites – Webex
Introduction to the HyperFlex System architecture and components.
Review of requirements and prerequisites for the installation.
Networking requirements discussion and planning.
Walkthrough of tasks needed to be accomplished by the customer before onsite engagement.
Verification of requirements prerequisites - Webex
Step-by-step verification of requirements and prerequisites needed to be completed by the customer before onsite engagement.
Assuming all prerequisites are met – setting the date for onsite engagement.
Installation, validation and knowledge transfer – On-site
Installation of the HyperFlex cluster (HX installer deployment, UCS configuration/upgrade, HX cluster deployment, Intersight configuration, vCenter/SCVMM integration).
Running post-installation scripts to finalize the HX cluster installation.
HyperFlex knowledge transfer (creating datastore, provisioning VMs, snapshot, VM cloning, migrating VMs, technical deep dive, scalability options, monitoring and management of the HX cluster, use case discussion).
Follow up – Webex
The hand-off of mentored install documentation (installation procedure, completed requirements, and prerequisites with parameters used in the deployment process, additional Cisco guides for administrators and end-users)
Following up on additional customer questions.
Project acceptance form.
Handing over the project survey to finish up the project.
