Cisco has enhanced and streamlined Business specializations to further help Channel Partners excel in today’s dynamic market and grow more revenue. A 25% drop in learning hour investments and introduction of new delivery methods reduce training costs and accelerate building of more successful sales professionals.

Cisco announced the update to the Business Transformation for Sales training portfolio. This includes retirement of the Cisco Business Value Analysis Fundamentals (BTUBVAF) course and updates to Applying Cisco Specialized Business Value Analysis Skills (BTASBVA) and Executing Cisco Advanced Business Value Analysis and Design Techniques (BTEABVD) courses. Additionally, Performing Cisco Transformative Architecture Engagements (BTPBTAE) course was renamed into Building Cisco Business and IT Roadmaps (BTROAD) and Cisco Sales Essentials (CSE) was retired.

Less time out of work and lower training costs

The updated courses were revisited in terms of content as well as streamlined by introduction of more efficient delivery methods in order to help Channel Partners to expand beyond their current IT and/or network buyers, capture more opportunities across the lines of business and grow more revenue. The focus of the courses has shifted from product and architecture focus to selling outcome-based services and solutions. New content builds skills in applying Cisco’s Outcome-Based Selling Approach, which can then be used as a key differentiator with customers. Updated exercises and scenarios highlight key solutions and technology areas such as Internet of Everything (IoE), Mobility and Security. New trainings consist of 50% e-learning that in combination with instructor-led training, peer learning, and exercises resulted in a 25-percent drop of overall learning investment. This means less time out of work for attendees and lower overall training costs.

Pre-training preparation

The process for preparing each student for the Applying Cisco Specialized Business Value Analysis Skills v3.0 (BTASBVA) and the Executing Cisco Advanced Business Value Analysis and Design Techniques v.2.0 (BTEABVD) instructor-led courses includes an additional pre-learning step. Students are required to complete a self-study e-learning training (ELT) component before attending the instructor-led component of the training. It is recommended that the ELT is started around two weeks prior to attending the instructor-led class to allow the student a reasonable amount of time to complete it.
