The latest Robert Half Technology Salary Guide reveals that there is still a high demand for skilled IT professionals and that salaries in many IT job roles continue to rise. Cisco's CCNA and CCNP certifications are an important advantage for job seekers.

Robert Half Technology, a technology staffing company, published its annual salary guide survey results. The latest edition for 2016 reveals high competition among companies for top talents and that there is a high demand for experienced and skilled IT professionals. Additionally, the survey shows that there have been healthy salary increases over the last year and that trends are looking promising for many IT job roles.

The Robert Half Technology 2016 Salary Guide reaches into salary data for around 24 different roles in the IT networking arena for both the United States and Canada. The salary information in the guide is based on the real-life observations of the Robert Half Technology staffing and recruiting professionals who make thousands of interim and full-time placements each year, as well as their frequent surveys of chief information officers (CIOs) and other IT professionals.

"Many employers no longer request that candidates have certain credentials—they require them," reveals the report. Among certifications in demand are also Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) groups of certifications. Additionally, the Robert Half Technology report claims that having Cisco network administration skills can add up to 9 percent to your salary.
