Overview

Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification is for senior network design engineers, senior analysts, and principal systems engineers, who discuss, design, and create advanced addressing and routing, security, data center, and IP multicast multi-layered enterprise architectures. This includes virtual private networking and wireless domains and it focuses on the design components of larger networks. The CCDP curriculum includes building scalable internetworks and multilayer-switched networks, and designing network service architecture.

New CCNP Enterprise program is launching on February 24, 2020

The new CCNP Enterprise certification replaces the the current CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Wireless, and CCDP certifications. If you have started working toward the current CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Wireless, or CCDP certifications, keep going. In the new program, you’ll receive credit for work you’ve completed in these current certifications:

  • If you pass any exams in these certifications before February 24, you’ll receive badging for corresponding new exams and credit toward the new CCNP Enterprise certification.
  • If you complete any of these certifications before February 24, you’ll receive the new CCNP Enterprise certification and badging for corresponding technologies—enterprise core technologies, advanced routing, wireless, or design.

For more information about how to migrate your certification in progress, visit the CCNP Enterprise migration tool.
