CCIE Service Provider - Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Service Provider
Cisco CCIE Service Provider (CCIE Service Provider) certification is for expert-level SP network engineers who bring the knowledge and skill to build an extensible Service Provider infrastructure to deliver rich managed services.
New CCIE Service Provider Certification program is launching on February 24, 2020
On February 24, 2020, the new CCIE Service Provider certification v5.0 will replace the current CCIE Service Provider v4.1.
If you have started working toward the current CCIE Service Provider certification, keep going. In the new program, you’ll receive credit for work you’ve completed in the current certification.
- If you pass the current CCIE Service Provider v4.1 written exam before February 24, you will be eligible to take the new CCIE Service Provider v5.0 lab exam after February 24.
- After February 24, the CCIE Service Provider written exam, will be replaced with SPCOR 300-501. After you pass SPCOR 300-501, you will earn the Cisco Certified Specialist - Service Provider Core certification.
- If you complete the entire CCIE Service Provider certification before February 24, then as of February 24, you’ll maintain your CCIE Service Provider certification as per the new recertification guidelines, and you will also receive the Cisco Certified Specialist - Service Provider Core certification.
There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE certification. Other professional certifications or training courses are not required. Instead, candidates must first pass a written qualification exam and then the corresponding hands-on lab exam. You are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the topics in the exam blueprints and strongly encouraged to have three to five years of job experience before attempting certification.
