Description

The Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1 (ICND1) v3.0 is a 5-day instructor-led course that introduces learners to the foundational understanding of network layers 1 through 3 that are applicable to core routing and switching plus other advanced technologies.
Key additions to this revision of the course include understanding the interactions and network functions of firewalls, wireless controllers and access points, as well as additional focus on IPv6 and basic network security. All configuration commands are introduced through examples and supported with lab exercises.
This course includes a full suite of labs that use the virtual IOS environment with flexible topologies that reinforce concepts with hands-on, guided discovery and challenge labs that align to each lesson. Labs are core to understanding the concepts taught in the ICND1 course and students will have 60 hours of lab access accessible over a 180 day period (this includes the time in class).
This course can optionally be followed by the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 2 (ICND2) v3.0 course, which covers topics in more depth and teaches learners how to perform basic troubleshooting steps in enterprise branch office networks, preparing learners for the Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching certification.
