Description

The Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices - Combo (CIVND) is an 8-day instructor-led course that combines CIVND1 (e-learning) and CIVND2 (classroom) trainings for optimal skills building. The course introduces the learners to the best practices for videoconferencing and prepares them for the CCNA Collaboration certification, an associate level certification specializing in the Cisco Unified Communications field.
The first portion of this combo course (taken from the Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices, Part 1 (CIVND1) v1.0 e-course) teaches the learners the characteristics of video solutions and how to assess requirements for successful implementation of a video solution. The course describes the characteristics of a video solution and enables the learners to evaluate the general requirements for video deployments such as codec options, media formats, protocols, network impact, high-level architectural components, interactions, and environmental considerations.
The second portion of this combo course (taken from the Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices, Part 2 (CIVND2) v1.0 5-day instructor-led course) introduces the learners to the necessary knowledge and skills to implement various Cisco video endpoints in converged Cisco video infrastructures. The course describes Cisco Business Video solutions and enables students to implement and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration, TelePresence, and Digital Media Player in different Cisco Business Video solution architectures.
The software applications that are covered in this course include the Cisco Unified Communications Manager, the Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM and Presence, the Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server, as well as the Cisco TelePresence Multipoint Controller Unit.
